![]() ![]() All of these used to all be as easy to turn communist with relatively little cost, like it is for Germany currently. Compare that to Japan, which faces a military mutiny in the colonies and a civil war, the US, which takes a fair bit of time and faces a civil war, and Britain, which faces a series of events/decisions that come with costs and can easily devolve into a civil war (with further complications surrounding the status of the colonies afterwards to boot). All it takes is an advisor and a bit of pp to hold a referendum. Right now you can go communist as Germany pretty easy. That said, as someone else mentioned, this more comes down to the China tree effectively being split over different countries.Īlso, a lot of people forget that giving unlikely ideology trees to countries has actually made it harder and more costly to go down those ideologies. Frankly, nationalist China’s ideology was flexible enough that there’s a fair argument it should have options to go fascist, communist, democratic, or stay non-aligned, all without changing leader or party. ![]()
